As the daughter of a Foreign Service Officer, I was educated at home for all but about three years of my primary and secondary education. My parents were in charge, and I enjoyed the benefit of my live-in teachers, Miss Palazzo and Sister Rose Kennedy (no relation).
After being blessed with a family, we home schooled through high school. Thus, in addition to nearly twenty years' tutoring experience and a decade of college teaching, I am a veteran home schooling mother. I bake a mean chocolate chip cookie and artisan breads and have rendered my own translation of Aphthonius' Progymnasmata, which I incorporate as part of my tutoring and teaching.
Although the days of the live-in teacher are probably gone forever, I anticipate that Aquinas Classical Tutorials will meet the needs of home schooled, public schooled, and private schooled students for excellent specialized instruction in the home by way of the Internet.
A statement of faith and a brief overview of my curriculum vitae follows. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any additional question you might have concerning my background and qualifications or to discuss my references. You may e-mail me at Magistra.Dior (at sign) AquinasTutorials (dot) com or call me at (916) 560-3564. I appreciate your considering Aquinas Classical Tutorials for your educational needs.
Statement of Faith
I affirm the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed. I am loyal to the Magisterium (teaching authority) of the Catholic Church.
